PH | Free stuff and deals are in store for government workers in September | MANILA – In September, to celebrate the 123rd Philippine Civil Service Anniversary (PCSA), people who work for the government can get special treats and savings on things like shopping, lodging, and activities.

Karlo Nograles, who is in charge of the Civil Service Commission (CSC), said that the commission has teamed up with a number of private businesses to offer special rates and freebies to the 1.9 million active civil servants and retirees as a thank you for their hard work and dedication to public service.

“We’ll give them special treats as a thank-you for being our friends. A lot of the time, you won’t be able to change your descriptions to meet the needs of the public and give them good service at any time. “Thank you very much!” (Salamat po sa inyo): We made these special treats as a thank-you to our workers. We can’t say enough about the efforts you’ve made to always give good public service),” Nograles said in a statement.

According to the CSC, government workers can get discounts from public and private sector partners for the whole month of September. These discounts can be used at hotels, amusement parks, restaurants, health and wellness centres, retail stores, service providers, and travel agents.

Here are some of the places that offer deals on accommodations:

• Bluewater Maribago (Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu)

• Casa Emilia (Caloocan City)

• Desert Rose Hotel (El Nido, Palawan)

• Fulgueras Beach Resort (San Felipe, Zambales)

• Department of Tourism – Cordillera region

• Department of Tourism – Ilocos region
• Harolds Evotel Hotel Cebu

• Kwentong Dagat (San Felipe, Zambales)

• Layang Layang Home (El Nido, Palawan)

• Limliwa Beach Resort (San Felipe, Zambales)

• RedDoorz

• Seda Lio (El Nido, Palawan)

• Sitio de Amor (San Pablo City, Laguna)

Government workers only need to show their government office ID or UMID card to get the discounts.

Order for Service and Job Order Workers can also get the special treats if they show their official ID card from a government office.
