The PMPC Star Awards Inc. (PMPC) officially welcomed its 2026 set of officers during an oath-taking ceremony held on January 30, marking another chapter in the organization’s continuing commitment to the Philippine entertainment industry.

The oathtaking ceremony was led by Hon. Marcos Mamay, Vice Mayor of Nunungan, Lanao del Norte, who is also a movie producer and currently seats as adviser to the Actors Guild of the Philippines.
During the event held in Quezon City, Mamay also expressed his gratitude for the consistent support he receives from the PMPC in relation to his involvement in film production.
“Malaking karangalan po na maimbita ng PMPC para mag lead ng oathtaking for the 2026 elected officers. Malaking bagay sa akin ang suporta ng PMPC, especially sa mga ginagawa kong pelikula,” Mamay said. “Mula nung pandemic, nagprodyus tayo ng Mamay: A Journey To Greatness para makatulong tayo sa movie industry lalo na sa mga production staff, crew at sa mga artista. Luckily, nanalo ito ng awards kasama na ang PMPC Star Awards.”

He also assured the group of his continued support, not only for the organization but for the broader entertainment community.
“Buong suporta ang ibibigay ko—hindi lang sa PMPC kundi sa buong entertainment industry,” he added. “More collaboration po. We need to keep helping each other so Filipino creativity can move forward,” he said.
The PMPC, composed of media practitioners across all media platforms, is known for the staging of the highly-anticipated Star Awards for Movies, Television, and Music in the last four decades and counting.
Leading the organization for 2026 is President Fernan C. De Guzman, alongside Vice President Rodel O. Fernando, Secretary Eric L. Borromeo, Assistant Secretary Mildred A. Bacud, Treasurer Boy A. Romero, Assistant Treasurer Jimi C. Escala, and Auditor Joey Austria.
Handling external communications are Evelyn C. Diao, Public Relations Officer for English, and Glen P. Sibonga, Public Relations Officer for Filipino.
Completing the leadership roster are the members of the Board: John L. Fontanilla, Leony R. Garcia, Melba R. Llanera, Mell T. Navarro, Rommel L. Placente, and Francis M. Simeon.
The event was marked by a relaxed and celebratory atmosphere, reflecting the strong camaraderie within the organization and a shared vision of strengthening ties between the press and the entertainment industry.
With its newly inducted officers, PMPC looks forward to another productive year. Aside from recognizing excellence in showbiz, the group is also known for supporting creative voices and sustaining meaningful collaboration in the industry.
